All you need to know before a holiday to Santorini 🌞🌴

Santorini was on my bucket list for ages! Even more so when it seemed like every blogger & instagramer was going there the past 2 years! So of course I had to go 😆

However be VERY careful when booking and really look up the hotel and don't make the same mistake as me! I saw some reviews on this hotel and most rooms were fine but it was just our luck we got put in this room for 1 night because the hotel was 'overbooked' so after lugging luggage back and forth between rooms we could finally relax. This hotel is really nice but be aware there are rooms like this & it's pot luck! This hotel was called Splendour resort which is in Fira.

This is the room we finally got and was the one we asked for. I couldn't complain about this room it was really lovely except the beds are on stone so it's not a comfy sleep 😂🤷‍♀️

If you're looking for somewhere romantic then this is the perfect place to go. The sunsets are so incredible you feel like you want to get married there and then!! There is a lot of walking to be done in Santorini so make sure you bring good footwear! I somehow lost weight after this holiday from all the walking but I thought the excessive eating would of counteracted this!! 🙈

This is the most instagramable place to get sunset shots and incredible food. Amazing bars and restaurants & even a cheeky McDonald's and kebab shop 😂

There isn't loads to do in Santorini so be prepared for that if you thought there would be a million things to do. You can spend the day in Oia as there's loads of shops and restaurants, cute beaches and fira has a really lovely town to walk through. One of my favourite things about the holiday was the sunset boat trip..

I highly recommend booking this!! It's a great laugh, you get a free BBQ included and free drinks too!! I was tipsy 😂 you stop off at the red beach and black beach and can go swimming in the hot springs. These turned my bikini red to orange ?! So be prepared for that. It went back to normal colour after washing 👍

I am very lucky my boyfriend is amazing at taking instagramable pictures!! He's a keeper. This was in Oia and the views are just beautiful. We went in late July and the weather was 30-35 daily and the nights were very muggy! Aircon saved the day 🙌

We managed to find the perfect view of all the insta pictures I've seen. This was not easy to get to and it took us ages walking!! After getting there he wasn't best pleased that I wanted to take a million photos haha! But we came so far I needed to get good ones.

Ok so when we found this princess bar I don't think I could of been anymore excited. Gary knew how buzzing I was because this is just the prettiest place!! You have to go here you will feel like you're an actual queen.

The pool in Splendour is really cute! You can get cocktails from the bar and there were always plenty of places to sunbathe. However the pool is freezing!! Quite nice though in 30 degree heat.

When choosing what to wear, go for light fabric and something comfy! It's pretty much always windy In Santorini so something that won't be blowing everywhere is your best bet. I packed tops that I could wear with lots of different skirts which meant I didn't need to bring loads of outfits. I ended up bringing too many evening outfits in the end! But I would say go for comfy clothes because there is lots of walking and it's very hot. Unless you're longing by the pool then it doesn't really matter!
