Pro Blo Curlers - Do they really work?

I saw these curlers months ago and watched a lot of YouTube videos and was so impressed by how nice it made people's hair look by giving a salon blow out without the salon prices.

The blo pro is sold on a lot of websites but I got mine off http://beautybay.com/

There was a sale on and % off seemed like the perfect opportunity to buy it. The one I purchased is the Pro Blo CurlMe. This is £30.00 on beauty bay but it's well worth waiting for a sale or promo code to come up! Mine came to £19 in the sale - bargain!

I will go through my step by step process of achieving the 'perfect blow out' it claims to give you.

Step 1.

Start by combing through your wet/damp hair. I prefer to leave my hair to be damp so it can air dry for as long as possible. Comb through with the attached brush.

Step 2.

Section your hair into 3-4 sections. I do two at the bottom and 1 or two sections on top. I only use a small amount of hair for the top section to give that volume on top otherwise it is weighed down. A lot of people do more sections, this is just works for me in my everyday life and is a faster way than waiting for each barrel for 30 minutes.

Step 3.

Use your favourite hair dryer, any is fine, I use the GHD hair dryer but I have also used a rubbish hotel hairdryer and still was able to use my curlers.

Curl the hair inwards and face the hair dryer downwards at all times. Hold the curls whilst using a medium setting on a high heat. Blow dry downwards and around the hair in the roller. Once it looks smooth slowly bring the brush down and comb the hair through once and twist.

You should get a soft wave from doing this. It's all about practice too though, I found doing a few times helped me know the best technique for me.

Step 4.

Continue through the top section. This is the part I leave curlered up and blow over it to create a volumous look. If I don't have time I just do the two top sections like I do the bottom sections. By doing it this way I found it easier and quicker and it achieved the same effect as leaving them in.

The end result:

This is what my hair looked like after the blow out, I set my hair with tresemme hairspray and put some serum through the ends. My hair feels extremely soft after using pro blo and has that silky run your fingers through it feel like after a salon visit.

Would I recommend this to a friend?

- 100% yes! It has worked wonders for me as I am so rubbish with hair and achieving the looks I like. This is a very easy and affordable way to do it. It does take a few times getting used to and different ways will work for you as I tested out different techniques.

I hope this post way useful and helped you decide if the pro blo is worth the hype!

Thanks for reading,

Love Natalie x
